acland, sir arthur herbert dyke - Acland, sir arthur herbert dyke (1847-1926);
acland, sir arthur herbert dyke - British politician. Second son of Sir T. D. Acland (q.v.), he was educated at Rugby and Oxford, was head of the Military College at Cowley, and became Liberal M. P. for Rotherham 1885-1899. He was best known as a prominent educationalist. He succeeded to the baronetcy in 1919 and died Oct. 9, 1926.
