adams, frank dawson - Adams, frank dawson (1859-1942);
adams, frank dawson - Canadian geologist. Born at Montreal, Sept. 17,1859, he was educated at the High School and McGill University, and afterwards at Yale and Heidelberg. Trained as a geologist, he became a member of the Geological Survey of Canada in 1880, and lecturer in geology at McGill in 1889. In 1894 he was appointed Logan professor of geology and dean of the faculty of applied science. An F.R.S., he wrote much on geology. He died Dec. 27, 1942.
