Значение термина agrippa в knolik

agrippa - Agrippa
agrippa - The name of two Idumean rulers of Judaea under the Romans. Agrippa I, grandson of Herod the Great, killed James, son of Zebedee, and cast Peter into prison. He reigned with much pomp and met with a horrible death at Caesarea, described in almost identical terms by Josephus and in Acts 12. His son, Agrippa II, with his sister Berenice, heard Paul's statement before Festus at Caesarea, and was "almost persuaded to be a Christian." (Acts 25-26.) After the fall of Jerusalem he returned to Rome, where he died a.d. 100, the last of the Herodians.
