adshead, stanley davenport - British architect. Born in Manchester, he devoted special attention to town-planning, and was professor of town-planning at Liverpool University, 1909-14, and at London University, 1914-35. His works include Ramsgate and Worthing Pavilions, and the rebuilding of the Duchy of Cornwall estate, Kennington, 1913-14. He wrote Town-Planning and Town Development, 1923; A New England, 1942, etc. Adshead died April 11, 1946.
