aandalsnes - Town of Norway, on Romsdal Fiord, 120 m. S.W. of Trondhjem. British troops were landed here within a week of the German invasion of Norway on April 9, 1940, and advanced along the railway to Dombaas, on the main line from Oslo to Trondhjem. From Aandalsnes British forces S. of Trondhjem were evacuated at the end of April.
